| Volunteers are always needed to assist with resident
outings. These may include shopping trips to Wal Mart, and accompanying
residents to occasional movies and meals away from campus. The Bentley
residents also enjoy going to the Mesquite Rodeo, the State Fair and
“Dallas Blooms” at the Arboretum. We always need able-bodied
people to push wheelchairs, as well as to drive buses and vans.
Volunteers are also needed to help with special events such as
holiday parties, bingo and our ever-favorite activity buck auction.
Those who have an interest in giving manicures are greatly appreciated,
both by the residents and their families.
Crafts are also a favorite of many of our residents and it is most
helpful to have someone assist with this type of activity who derives
equal pleasure in “crafting” by sharing their knowledge
and talent with others.
Another need is for help with special events such as seasonal and
holiday parties, the annual art show, and Grandparents’ Day. |
