The apartments were constructed in January of 1980 with a generous
donation from W.B. and Ruth Howard. W.B. Howard was a successful
farmer, stockman and private oil promoter. Ruth Howard was a home
economics teacher for many years.
Originally, 20 apartments were constructed with four different
sizes—efficiency, one bedroom/one bath, two-bedroom/one bath
and two bedroom/two baths. In March of 2004 six of the efficiencies
were converted into two-bedroom apartments and totally redecorated
leaving a total of 16 apartments. |
